Taking a closer look.

In the Hindu temple, the hall is laid out for the upcoming wedding. In front of each seat, you'll find these items.

Going Inside.

A short while ago we saw the outside of the Hindu temple and Shannon asked to see the inside. Well today I had an hour or so between meetings, so decided to investigate. Turns out the cater for Hindu weddings.

Must say I really like the effect of the blue lighting in here.

National Monument.

A number of years ago an old delapidated building underwent a facelift, but it was only recently I discovered the reason - it had been declared a National Monument.

It's so good to see a building such as this, not only being preserved, but also in full use. It is now business premises with people going in and out all day. I wonder how many of them stop to read the plaque at the front door or even give a thought to the fact that their building is part of Durban's history.

On a clear day you can see forever.

Occasionally I have the privelege of seeing the city from the 9th floor in Umhlanga. It was such a beautiful day and the visibiltiy was so good we could see the whole of the Golden Mile and all the way to the end of the Bluff.

And just in case you think I didn't clean the lens..... please note .... that is smog in the sky.

They're everywhere, they're everywhere.

A short while ago we saw the how the police monitor the beach front. Well I was surprised to see them at this shopping center as well. It's good to know the police presence assists in curbing crime all over.

This really cannot be the ideal job at this time of the year. It's so hot in February, and a caravan is not the coolest of places to sit. Oh well, I guess it beats being a car guard - they're out in the sun all day, sometimes with only small bushes for shade.

Some people have a lovely view.

The houses in the upper Glenwood area have a lovely view over the harbour, and the bluff. It looks so peaceful.
