This little queue has no chance of filling up the stadium today! Don't know what was the occasion, but it is obviously not a big event.
The major rugby matches which find themselves in Durban are played at the Absa Stadium aka Kings Park. Across the road the soccer stadium is being re-developed in preparation for the 2010 Soccer World Cup.
Through the Transkei
-
Up early again, cos everyone's itching to get through the Transkei. When
the bikes start revving, you know you'd better hurry, or you could be left
behind....

Lines. It must be a big games of some sort. Nice photograph of the scene.
That stand is very imposing the way it just rises up on its own there!
I am going to show my ignorance on Rugby here, but are Durban the ones called 'the Sharks'?
Thank you Abraham.
Kris - you are absolutely correct. KZN (thats the province) rugby team is the Sharks, and Durban is their home. All our home matches are played at this stadium.
nice design, interesting lines...the building, not the queue! Kris... not so ignorant after all! I don't even know which SA team comes from where... !
Well, despite no real interest in either forms of Rugby (I'm an Aussie Rules fan), I've always had a soft spot for the Sharks because I like sharks so much. I do keep an eye out on the Super 12 (14?) ladder to see how they are going.
