This is the City Hall, which was completed in 1910. It is a beautiful old building. The hall inside is huge, and has seen all manner of concerts, competitions, fetes and other functions.
These days, its not so easy to get inside. Much of the entrance has been boarded up and security personell man the only door.

Stunning architecture! I recall, as a kid, being intrigued by its replica at Minitown (though the music and lights emanating from it surely contributed ;-).
