While we're on the subject of tress.... Howard Avenue is one of my favourites in Durban, and all because of the trees. This is taken from the top of the road. In the distance you can see the blue water of the harbour, and the Bluff behind that.
This road leads up to the University, and more specifically the Howard College building. Unfortunately the university is now surrounded by a security fence, and the less accessible gardens have thick vegetation making photos in that direction rather meaningless.
Through the Transkei
-
Up early again, cos everyone's itching to get through the Transkei. When
the bikes start revving, you know you'd better hurry, or you could be left
behind....

I have to get a user account. The house surrounded by the yellow wall used to belong to my sister! Just across the road on the corner, there used to be a convenience store. Your pictures really bring back memories! Thanks.
Great blog. Glad I discovered it.
love those tall straight trunks!
