Corner Cafe.

A short distance over the hill from where I live is the Lyndhurst Supermarket and Bakery - aka our local corner cafe. They have a mini bakery which means we can buy lovely fresh hot bread and rolls every day.

Across the street is a primary school, making this a popular place for the children to congregrate when school's out.

Even though we sometimes have cows wondering unattended around the neighbourhood, milk is still only supplied by the bigger dairies.

The new owners took over the running of the shop today, and we wish them a long and successful stay in the neighbourhood.

Take a peek at corner cafe's in other cities around the world as these blogs participate in June Theme day.

It looks like a friendly place, that the schoolchildren will be telling their children about! Best of luck to the new owners!

That is one consistent thing around the world, kids love candy!

When I was younger we all gathered at the corner store after school. We would put our extra lunch money together to buy candy. This store looks great, I bet the bread is wonderful.

Lucky kids! I can remember in high school going across the street to a local sandwich shop instead of spending my lunch money in the school cafeteria :)
Nice theme day photo!
